Porcelain Veneers

Ultra-thin porcelain shells bonded to the front of your teeth to correct shape, colour, size and alignment.

What Are Porcelain Veneers?

Porcelain veneers are wafer-thin shells of dental porcelain custom-made to bond to the front surface of your teeth at Dentalingo in Alanya. They are used to correct a wide range of cosmetic concerns including discolouration, chips, cracks, gaps, and slight misalignment. The result is a dramatically improved, radiant smile that looks entirely natural.

Porcelain Veneers vs. Crowns in Alanya

Veneers require minimal tooth preparation — typically only 0.3–0.5mm of enamel is removed. This makes them a much more conservative and protective option compared to full crowns for patients with healthy teeth who want to elevate their smile aesthetics while traveling to Antalya.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will porcelain veneers stain over time?

Porcelain is highly resistant to staining, so coffee, tea and red wine will not discolour the veneers the way they can natural enamel. The edges where the veneer meets the tooth can collect plaque if neglected, so good brushing and regular hygiene visits keep the whole smile looking fresh.

Will my veneers look fake or bulky?

Not when they are designed well. Each veneer is custom-made in shade, shape and translucency to suit your face, your remaining teeth and your preferences. Because the shells are so thin, they blend in with your natural teeth rather than looking thick or artificial.

Can I have veneers on just one or a few teeth?

Yes. Veneers can be placed on a single tooth or a select few, for example to repair one chipped tooth or close a small gap. The shade is carefully matched to the neighbouring teeth, so the result is seamless.

Can I get veneers if I grind my teeth?

It is possible in many cases, but grinding or clenching puts extra stress on porcelain and increases the risk of chipping. Your dentist will assess your bite and will usually recommend a custom night guard to protect your veneers.

What should I do if a veneer chips or comes off?

Keep the veneer if it has come off and contact your dentist as soon as possible. A small chip can often be polished or repaired, while a loose veneer can often be re-bonded, and a badly damaged one can be replaced.

Will my teeth be sensitive after getting veneers?

Some patients notice mild sensitivity to hot and cold for a short time after treatment, particularly while wearing temporary veneers. Because so little enamel is removed, this usually settles within days to a couple of weeks once the final veneers are bonded.

Can veneers be reversed or removed later?

Because a thin layer of enamel is removed during preparation, the procedure is not fully reversible, and the teeth will normally need to be covered with veneers or crowns in the future. Veneers can be replaced when they eventually wear out, and your dentist will talk you through the long-term plan before you begin.
